Ballpoint Army help

How do I play?

Pick a guy from the cards, then tap your side of the page to draw him. Each guy costs ink, so choose carefully. When your army's ready, hit FIGHT and watch: once the battle starts, the guys are on their own. Hills shoot further, rocks and sandbags give cover, guys hide in the woods, and crossing the river is slow and dangerous.

How do throwdowns work?

Choose "Throwdown!", draw an army, pick a taunt and send the link to your friends (or a whole group). Each of them tries to beat your army, and you'll see how it's going on the Throwdown page: who opened it, who's drawing, and every result, with replays. Throwdowns last 7 days.

How does the ladder work?

Draw a defence army, and other players attack it while you're away. Attack other people's defences to climb from Private all the way to General. Your rating goes up when you win and down when you lose, more so against stronger players.

I got a new phone and lost my rank

Your player is kept on the device you play on, with no account, so it doesn't move to a new device. Sorry! If it matters to you, email us your old and new player names and we'll see what we can do.

There's no sound

Check the "sound" tag at the top of the screen says on, and that your device isn't on silent (on iPhone, the switch or Action button on the side).

Can I play without the internet?

In the app, yes: battles against the computer and 2 players on one screen work anywhere. Challenge codes and the ladder need the internet.

How do I get it?

Ballpoint Army is on the App Store (iPhone and iPad) and Google Play (Android). It's a one-off purchase: no ads, and nothing else to buy.

Can I play in a browser?

Only throwdowns. When a friend sends you a throwdown link, you can play it right in your browser, free, a couple of times. The full game (against the computer, 2 players, the ladder, and sending your own throwdowns) is the app.
